Copy and Paste Tags
Copy metadata between audio files — one-to-one, one-to-many, or group-to-group.
Metadatics can copy metadata from one file to another. You can copy from a single file to multiple files, or from a group of files to another group of files.
Copying
When copying, you have the option to copy all tags or only the selected tags. Copy All Tags copies every tag in every selected file. Copy Selected Tags only copies the tags selected in the All Tags panel.
Pasting
When pasting, you have three options:
- Paste Tags — Replace Existing Values. If any tag values being pasted already exist in the destination file, those are overwritten. All other tags in the destination file are left alone.
- Paste Tags — Replace All Values. All existing tags in the destination file are removed and replaced with the tags being pasted. Only the pasted tags remain in the destination.
- Paste Tags — Add To Existing Values. Keeps all existing tags in the destination file and adds to any values that already exist. You may end up with multiple values for the same tag using this option.
If you are pasting into more files than were copied, Metadatics gives you the option to paste to all of the files or only to the number of files that were copied.
