Supported Input File Types

Every audio format Pro Audio Converter accepts as input, grouped by codec family.

Pro Audio Converter identifies each file by its content (the Uniform Type Identifier and magic-byte signature) rather than by extension. The extensions listed below are the common ones for each format and are matched case-insensitively, but a renamed or extensionless file in any of these formats will still be recognized correctly.
